Arrival at the Big Apple

Finally touched down at New York after a long 15 hours flight from Taipei. This is the first time I did not see any sun light for a day. Even though my flight was in the evening, by the time I reached Newark International Airport, it was already dark the following day. Surprisingly, I didn’t experience any jet lag at all. I still managed to sleep like usual.

Didn’t do much today. Just went for casual sight-seeing at the Time Square area. Dropped by Toys ‘r us, Macy’s store and Empire State building. My first impression of this metropolitan city is that the people here are not as friendly as those I met at Taipei. Anyhow, it’s still amazing to see so many people of different origins and cultures, making New York City a melting pot.
